Guesthouse Gist is situated in Øravík – right in the heart of the village and just 2 kilometres from The Ferry Terminal.
The atmosphere at Guesthouse Gist is open and relaxed, true to the natural surroundings of the place, and you get the feeling of visiting a cosy, quiet and warm home. Guesthouse Gist is the place where you have a good bed in comfortable surroundings after a good day of exploring the unique and unspoiled nature of Suðuroy. It is easy to go for walks and hikes with the Guesthouse as a Base.
The Guesthouse has 16 new and renovated rooms, all with private bathrooms and some with the possibility for two extra beds making it well suited for a family of 4. Also, you have access to a shared dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. All the rooms have new beds and mattresses. Free high-speed wifi and a flat-screen TV in every room, with international cable channels. Get a good nights sleep while enjoying the day by experience the culture and nature of the beautiful island. The closest city is Tvøroyri with shopping opportunities, two cafes and several museums.
